A Different Kind of Horse Boarding

At Sunny Sugarcreek Stables, we believe horses thrive when we create an environment that allows them to live more naturally—moving, grazing, socializing, resting, and simply being horses.

Our beautiful 17-acre property offers a unique movement-based boarding environment with two tracks and three rotational pastures. Our track system encourages horses to move throughout the day rather than remaining confined to a traditional pasture or dry lot. Hay and water stations are thoughtfully placed throughout the property to encourage natural movement, and we are continually improving and developing the system as we learn what works best for the horses.

Our horses live 24/7 turnout whenever weather conditions safely allow, with access to their individual stalls when needed. With 22 stalls, every horse has a private space of their own while still enjoying the benefits of living in a herd-centered environment.

We specialize in providing a peaceful home for trail horses, pleasure horses, retirement horses, and companion horses. We are not a competition or performance barn. Instead, our focus is on creating a calm, welcoming environment where horses can relax, enjoy companionship, stay active, and thrive.

The track system was established in August 2025, so this is a growing and evolving part of our farm. We are continually learning, improving, and adding thoughtful features to make the environment even better for the horses who call Sunny Sugarcreek Stables home.

Our goal is simple: to provide horses with a place where they can live well, move freely, enjoy their herd, and be horses.
